A couple more race adventure stories
So I went out with about 10 other bikes for the last ride of the season (upstate NY) last sunday and here are some results of the races we had.
My 03 12r bone stock minus a slip on D&D can ran against an 06 Busa with yosh pipes, a 03 Gixxer 1000 with heavy mods, and 04 Gixxer 1000 with heavy mods. THe first race was against the 03 Gixxer 1k which had a PC Full Yosh exhaust and ported/polished heads. It also was -1F +2R for sprockets. We did a roll on at about 40mph and by the finish line we were close to 170mph. I beat him by about 1 bike lenght. The second race was against the busa... it was a lot closer but i still beat him by about 1/4 of a bike. I think i would have done better except the road is flat but not smooth and right around 3-4th gear there is a little bump in the road that puts the front end off the ground just enough that every time i hit it i would start to veere off so i had to let off for just a quick second to regain control. The last race was against the 04 gixxer and about half way on the run he gave up....he said he had a bad start so until next season thats it for the stories. One good thing to note is that if i did that decent this season, i should be smoking next spring with my new PC, Full exhaust system, K&N filter, and 17 tooth sprocket. All the parts are here just waiting to be put on.
