Colour code on Green 2001?
Does anyone know the colour code or reciept on the green colour on 2001 bike?

It is a 3 step paint from ColorRite. Look them up on the web.

Is it the "Paint" or just the code you want? If it is the paint, then colorRite has the paint. If you order the paint from Kawasaki, you will get ColorRite paint. Since no one on this ot Easy's site knows the Code, have you called or e-mailed the 2 places that know, ColorRite ot Kawasaki?? Who have you asked that might be able to help you? The Dealer, Kawasaki Motors? who?

I bought a pint of 3808 kawasaki candy lime green and a pint of 1808 base coat.It didn't match up with my paint because the dealer repainted it.If you are going to paint the bike again, go ahead and spray the mirrors and the ram air covers also.

If I remember right, even on the color-rite site it mentions color variance. I'm no painter, but I interpret that as "different on every application" depending on how much product is applied.

I sprayed my left Panel and had the "Perfect color" Then I decided to make it "Better" and flat sanded it with 1500 and got it perfect, now it is a little lighter and I need to sand all of the other panels to get the same shine!

Why I want the reciept is because I shall paint my new cowlings and the man who does it needs the reciept to mix the paint...
Kawasaki in sweden does not have the reciept..

Have you yourself Contacted ColorRite (Not ColourRite) on the Web since they make the Paint? Or Do you want one of us to do it for you?

You will never know unless and until you ask them. I went through Hell to see if there was a 1 step paint and there is not. The deal is buy the paint i from them in a Quart can (Base, Color and use your own urethane)

Need some advice on repairing small nicks on the tail section.
It is the 'metallic' green paint scheme. A 2001 model. I have found the ColorRite web site, which carries touchup pens, and has a listing for gold, green and clear pens for a repair like this. about $50 plus shipping!!!
Only four small dings at the bungee nuts, where a bungee cord end kinda nicked the green/gold layer. The black (I assume thats the primer) layer shows. Biggest ding is about that big ===> 'o'
Can I buy just the green color for little nicks like this, or will it look too bad without the gold under it?
What about buying the clearcoat pen as well to go over the little repair? Will that raise the repaired piece up too high? I am guessing that the paint is completely flat. Prolly need the clear coat too.
Anyone with touchup paint experience for these metallic paint schemes? I know Im gonna hate the answer.
