New Owner, Yah!

Hello everyone. Breif Bio, I'm a die hard Kawi fan and have owned a 1989 ninja 250, 98 ninja 500, 03 zx6r, 03 zx9r, 08 ninja 250 and now a 03 zx12r. I have about 8 years riding experience and have token the MSF course as well as multiple track days so id like to think that i have better than average riding ability . Getting to the point, i have scowered almost any zx12r forums i can for the information that all new bike owners look for....and once again the search button at every site has failed me. Here are a couple of questions.... The bike has a full D&D exhaust on it....and that is about it for any modifications. I am already purchasing a powercommander, and was wondering if an ignition advancer was another good investment? I have one on my 9r but i wasnt sure the pros/cons on the 12. Also in anyones experience, did you see any gaines with running a straight exhaust? I have it done to my 9 but then again i also have alot of engine work done to that bike. Just curious before i go spend hours on the dyno trying to figure it out. Also, i assume like every other bike ive owned there is some sort of california emissions under the tank... smart idea to remove on this bike? Ive done it to all the rest of mine. Thanks....any other info i might want to know feel free to spill the beans!
