How do you stand politically - a test

ZHooligan posted this over at Bikeland and I thought it was worth posting here.

I took it again, because I forgot exactly what my results were. I believe I went a tad further to the economic right (mid 2's to 3.00), but stayed about the same on the "government" scale.

Economic Left/Right: 3.00
Authoritarian/Libertarian: 0.67

My daughter (she my part time boss and part time "personal assistant" - depending on who wins the "discussion") scored:

Economic Left/Right: -1.25
Authoritarian/Libertarian: 1.64

How did the question go? "Youth have rebelious ideas but will grow out of them"? She'll learn in time and come over to the "Economic Dark Side".

I figure my economic views are influenced by the fact that I run a very small company of 7 employees and have little appreciation for some of the government's "taking and giving" attitiudes.

In a cartoon called Kudzu, there is a pastor that was approched by a panhandler asking for money. The Pastor to him to "Beat it". When asked why he was so harsh, he replied that if he could ask for money, he could ask if I wanted fries. I'm not quite that hardcore and I do understand the difficulties some homeless experience. Then again, I'm not that far removed from that viewpoint either.

Yeah SWft it is obvious that you are not a Rush listener. He lost a ton of weight a couple or so years ago. And has kept it off unlike most dieters! So if I understnd corectly Mike, you voted for Bill Clinton?! Afterall a vote for Perow hd the same results as a vote for Clinton.

Of course Ross would have been President if the CIA and aliens had not threatened him!!

just remember it is the uber authoritarian ones who decide THEY know best for us better than we do ;P

those are the folks who work to enact all these 'protect the poor citizen from themselves' laws....

(which is interesting, as it shows that they have this misguided belief that they are better then us. they are the 'mommy & daddy' to the 'regular' citizen. they must pwotect us fwom ouwsewves)

they will be the ultimate end of our sport. any sports. all of them. anything that can be considered risky, and a case can be made (however falsely) that it is a public menace, will be eradicated. "for the good of everyone"
(the tact of using 'costs taxpayers millions of dollars a year' is a good example, from mr sherm himself)

and i won't say that republicancer is better then demoncrap. the current administration's 'information awareness' crap is a HUGE backwards step in freedom for the citizens. "those who have nothing to fear have nothing to hide" is BS.
the argument "well consumer groups have your buying/selling habits, what's your worry with the govt having the same info?"
big hint...the consumer groups, credit bureaus etc do NOT have the self given authority to use DEADLY FORCE to enact their goals for you. only the govt can steal, murder etc in relative freedom from repercussions, all they have to do is claim 'public menace' and step in and do a waco, or ruby ridge, or elian gonzales.

knowledge IS power.
the govt knows this, their symbol for their information awareness dept says it plainly.

in this day and age, protect YOUR information as if it is life & death, because it CAN be. big brother is watching
