Radiators and Rocks
Any good ideas on how to keep small rocks and debris from being flung up from the front tire and beating the crap out of the radiator without restricting or deflecting valuable cooling air?
Maybe a small rubber flap\extension on the rear of the front fender?
(or would that cause too much air disturbance?)
Anyone else having problems like this?

Cox Racing radiator screen is a good option. Tell them you read about it here and they might just give you a discount.

Click here for radiator screens
I put one on my bike and it fits well except where the horns mount. There were no slots cut in the screen where the horns mount, took a drill and file and put 2 slots in the screen. Took about 10 minutes to modify.
I dont know if the newer screens have the slots, I emailed them with the suggestion to punch these slots but never heard back from them.
A member of this board took his 12R to Cox for prototype of the screen. When I mentioned this to Cox down at Laguna they gave me a discount.

You telling me the 12 is NOT the worlds most powerful dirtbike?
Now what am I supposed to do with my 200 series knobby tires?

I've used a metal screen before which you can purchase at metal supply shops. The holes are a diamond shape and still let lots of cool air in. That, combined with a mud flap seems to do the trick.

I made my own screen out of a guard for the bottom of a screen door I got at a hardware store. High performance screen door parts make your bike faster and make your friends drool with envy! OK I'm better now.
