He's talking about the two inner pieces on the front of the bike that join together. Below the radiator on a 2002 bike.

I'm not sure how you did that, especially both of them. Considering they are inside parts and hardly visible I'd fix them instead of replacing them.
And stop using a hammer and screwdriver to take off the plastic !

actually the two inner pieces that swift is speaking of that join together, are actually one piece on the '02; i only have a minor crack in that and it can be easily welded.
the other piece is the plastic that sits beneath the ram air and the fairing partially snaps into it. the snap is snapped off and i dont think repair is in order for that piece.
i have 4 months to see if someone parts out their bike and will sell it to me cheap, otherwise i gotta pay 65 bucks plus tax and shipping from ron ayers. maybe a salvage yard would give me a good price?

Look on the bright side. If you are ever out of work, with your ham fists you would be a perfect match for any dealership's service department!

I know what parts they are, at least from the part numbers you listed. The inner cowl is hardly visible. I've had mine off about a dozen times without a problem.
You may be able to find some parts around, keep checking ebay.
