Dumb question after dumb actions!

Ok I had a streak of idiotic actions. I ran my bike while low on oil hitting the 11 grand on the RPMs and it over heated and ticked real bad before dieing on me. After a oil change (no metal in the oil) the bike stopped ticking but still ran hot and the starter would not restart the bike when hot. Drained the coolant and ran distilled water through it. Now it does not run hot but the starter will not start it after it gets hot. So I opened up the starter and brushes and armature are in good condition. So my next guess is the battery. Its a gel battery and I just got it last year! But that's my next step at this point.

My question is could this be a bearing issue? The bike runs strong until it gets hot then it the starter can't turn it over.

What do you guys think?

Sounds like it`s trying to seize the engine. What happens, it just won`t turn the egine over fast???

Damn I was hoping you wouldn't say that! It will slow crank a few times before no turning at all from the starter. It's sad because when it runs it runs fine revs and every thing. but then when you heat it up and turn it off the starter can only move it slow a few times before stopping. I going to try giving it a jump when it does that and see if the battery isn't giving enough to crank it!

I suspect it's just a bad battery.
