One of my fantasies ...Otis's thread about his first project got me thinking (and I didn't want to hi-jack his thread) what others have done here that's not motorcycle related...so...who of you have ever built or had built for them a pre-cut cedar home kit?...just how difficult is it and what are the MAJOR caveats (besides a major cash)?...in my wildest fantasies, I'd like to have a radiant heated, solar paneled, 3-bedroom, 3-bath, 4-car garage (emphasis here), and sun-decked home....yeah, I know, in my dreams...

built a 500 ft (long not high, lol) fence. 6ft tall and straight as an arrow. Just helped build a deck at my uncle's place so that will hold up his house better than the old one, lol. Helped put addition on old house, it was a 4 season room with storage below. Other than that, only projects have been on the bike

I put hydronic heat in my wood shop when I built it. It is the only way to go, no rust on any of the machined steel surfaces. Always an even heat, and when you are doing finish work, no fans blowing dust around when the heat comes on. I would recommend it to anyone. My system heats a 22x26 shop, and the total cost was under $400.

My friend built his parents house in the mountains in PA...not sure if Im explaining this right....The whole house has an external layer that air flows through...the way it is designed the house heats itself and cools itself by the air flowing from the basement, around the house, and up to the top of it and back.
