I just took the bike out for a ride and had some stop and go at the end. The fan came on and could not cool the coolant down at idle.Just for reference, the fairing lowers were off to watch for leaks.I've had issues with city riding or stop and go.Maybe that is why they made the 2002 and up dual fans.

Are you sure about that? Doug says that these engines don't run any hotter than stock ones???

I think I need to do the manual fan mod because after I shut it down the temps still rose and the fan shut off as the second to last bar came on.Steady riding does not bother the bike but it just can't handle stop and go.I have a new temp switch also. I'ld hate to get caught in a traffic jam with no way out. Maybe there is an explanation for this, which I would like to see to remedy the heat issue. For the record, it is a superbike Mike block on there.

Try to add more fuel at the 0 % . If it's lean it will get hot faster than with it rich.

I'm up here in the nutmeg state of Conn.I replaced the original fan with one from a newer 2 fan model.I never did check to see if the motors run the same rpm. It has the Muzzy blade on it too.
