cam timing impacts revlimiter????
Hey, I am not too edumakated on this stuff, but I read a thread on SH.org where it seemed to be implied that cam timing affects the specific rpm at which the limiter cuts in. Any thoughts????

Don't see how. Rev limiter is based off of number of cam sensor pulses the ECU sees...No matter where you put the timing, it's gonna see the same number of hits.

I have seen cam timing set all over the place and the rev limiter still comes on at the same place according to the tach and dyno sheets. I don't beleive the cam timing will effect the rev limiter. Of course if the timing is move far enough the bike won't be able to hit the rev limiter!!
