With the photo gallery, you better have a good pipe. I bet this bb could run offa dial up line. After all, the only thing stored here is text, and custom avatars. How big's that, maybe 50MB by now?

yeah, this is a real slim board, especially after i got done with it. trimmed the html about 66%. the photo gallery is what concerns me the most. i'd love to allow posting of pix, but i suspect the bandwidth bill would grow too damn much. it's not bad now, 5G a month. thats quite manageable. i know one local board was serving pix & hosting movies till jsut recently when they took the movies down, even tho the guy who ran the board owned the servers & all, so bandwidth was supposedly cheap. as far as handling pix, we certainly have a good enough connection. couple of gigabit lines bein shared among 3 racks if i'm not mistaken. i believe the machine itself has 100Mbit. tho we'd have to move onto a less busy server if we got to that point of course 
course, compared to the oc12 u prolly have goin into ur house with a few PB of fiber channel'd raid & a 64processor sun or 2 for ur dedsktop, thats prolly not too impressive
