Tire Prices??
Simple question guys; I need to know the best place to buy the 010's. Who's got the deal these days? Inquiring minds want to know. (besides, I'm cheap)

Either one are reliable, inexpensive sources for tires. The Metzelers are going for cheap right now. $108 for a rear 190 and $82 for a front!

Oops, I couldn't get there with the cut-and-paste, and found it was a typo, but thanks for the reference.

I take a sale paper to my local dealer and he matches the price for me. He at least get close enough to match the S & H price so I let him make a couple dollars. Doesn't hurt that he mounts them for me FREE if I buy there!! cha-ching!! $$$ saved

there ya Kawa.... I have a buddy that has a shop in town, just a little place, but if I take him the tires he charges me 5 bucks a piece to mount and balance...most of the time I use his equipment do it myself and he doesnt charge me anything.....he pisses and moans becasue i dont buy them from him....but I can get them cheaper offline
am all about the benjamins, cause I dont have enough of them.....lol

i hear ya, the guy is a friend of mine from way back...so he hooks me up,,,he just painted that 600 for me, had to get all new bodywork, straighten the subframe, new taillight, new headlight housing, new speedo bracketry, new fairing stay, pull the dent in the tank, put on a new targa hugger, new levers, and a brake bracket, plus some other misc. stuff that goes along with that kind of job..cost me $1800, I couldnt complain, hell he even took off the tires and painted the wheels.....and them remounted the tires and wheels....lol that is why he has the 12 right now too, he keeps givingme prices like that, and I will keep giving him my buisness..

another note on tires, ill do this next time around, but u can save some on the shipping costs by ordering more then a pair. i think next time around, im going to order 2 fronts, and 4 rears going into the season. just a thought. ur going to use them anyways.
one of the new moto magazines has a POOR tire review, they look at the bridgestone 01's and they suck so of course they rated low. wished they would have reviewed the 010's and the PS HPX.

cool Doug thanks....sory about the other night, I got booted offline...I am gonna have to wait on the dampner...Kelly just moved into the house and both bikes being worked on has left me a bit short.....I will hook up with ya when i get back to the states to pick on up though..again I appreciate the offer....

hey HDL...I'm not a pilot fan either, but i have no opinion yet of those newer Pilot Sport HPX's which were meant only for the 12, Busa, and the XX.
havent seen a review on them, and no one the board that i know of have tried these hpx versions of the ps.
i am very curious on these, check them out at:

Am not sure about thsoe, I will wait to see how they work on someone elses bike....I have to say I have had GREAT luck with the Pirelli's, but the are pricey. I am going to try the M-1's , already got them ordered. I run a 200 on the back of my bike too so that makes them a bit more. Everyone tells me to go to a 190, and some recommend a 180, but my 12 handles just fine. I run with the boys in the twisties just fine. And if I need to go faster around corners, I will get out the 6R and run it on its Corsa's.....talk about handle..man o man, is that thing a dream to ride twisties on......
