I did a little research, and found that they are schintz designed and a better product then the over seas ones.

I'd be interested in doing a comparison in the 2003 season at Maxton, back to back runs stock vs. bear stacks vs. muzzys.

Results and testing conditions vary greatly, examples: I've set a record of 202.593 MPH on motor using bear stacks in the mile, but I've also been 204.722 without them however that was using nitrous and the stock stacks, but not at the same time nor in the same conditions and I had made other changes so those comparisons didn't count. I also went 192.5 on stock motor without stacks yet during a different meet only managed 191 with them, so to get an actual valid comparison tests need to be conducted back to back on the same day on the same bike in the same weather conditions.

Unfortunately last year I was so busy with mechanical issues and trying to change classes with limited time at Maxton that I was unable to do back to back comparison simply because of lack of time.

Next year I will have plenty of time to do such a comparison test, in fact I plan to dedicate and entire weekend at Maxton doing comparison tests such as this, including stock vs. hans intake that a zx12rzone member is going to loan to me for testing.

If Muzzys wants to donate a set of stacks for this comparison, I'll glady do a write-up on the website with results. I already have a set of stacks supplied by Bear, which I fully endorse.

Would it be of any benefit to run 2 of the low speed and 2 of the hi speed stacks, much like a Hilborn injected small block chevy?

Thats a good question Ozzy. I know that on the Honda Blackbird they did something like that! Sounds like a test for someone to try.

They definitely look like a good quality component. And Muzzy is in an unusual place on this. Instead of being first out of the chute with a ZX12 product they have had a chance to see some of the pit falls Bear has experienced. So I would expect they will come with the bolts, O-rings etc. ButI can also say that Bear and with some assistance from Vincent that they made things right for the guys that had early o-ring problems.

I have a quick question - if I go for the Muzzy part, which version should I get? I have a 2000 green '12 with the following mods:

Muzzy full Ti pipe
PC-IIIr w/GREAT map (thanks Doug!!)
No Kleen air (mod from fishantlers)
K&N Filters

So which stack version should I get (I'm not planning on Nitros just yet )?

A question for Doug..... the stacks on a 1361 will enhance performance where? low end, mid or top? And do you have any thoughts on Ozzy's question?

Since the silver 1347 is going to Muzzy's next week in any case, I'll see about having them put a set of stacks on while it's there!

I will probably do the same. Thought I'd wait for Dougs response before buying. Thought of that just prior to selecting order on their site!

Z,, your a funny guy man!! I would have to lean for these will have better airflow stats... mod, motors require more air. I like the design also where the bolt goes in.

MadMike... I think they will fit and I do like the bolt setup. I have always worried about the seal on my bear stacks.
