2004 zx12 clutch problems
I have never done a clutch on my bike before but I thought I would give it a try, so I just finished putting in a Muzzy's clutch kit (3springs, new steels and fibers, and a new inner hub) now the bike pulls even with the clutch pulled in and it won't go into second or higher, just first and neutral, any ideas as to what i may have done wrong?

Well with a new clutch it is pretty normal till you get out and "seat it" with a few miles. And are you trying to shift it without the bike running. If so, it will not up shift unless you` re riding the bike with motor running. Just trying to help out.

Figured out what happened, the manual shows the spacer between the clutch basket and the inner hub in the parts diagram, but doesn't mention it during the disassembly or assembly instructions, and I forgot to put it in when I reassembled everything... my mistake... sorry...

JohnJ,
Don't take this personal, but you really shouldn't give advice if you are not familiar with what you're talking about.
If a clutch is right, it works from the start.
It doesn't take a while to "seat" in.
