The Muzzy hub is a 2002 or newer OEM hub but with extra oil holes drilled in the hub alleys...
If you can get the OEM hub from Kawasaki cheaper then doit cause those small holes that are drilled dont make enough noticable difference...
I also recommend the OEM friction & steel set up of 12 frictions & 11 steels.....The clutch lasts longer due to the slighly larger stack height than Muzzy setup...

My 02 had the Muzzy hub already installed when I got it and 'bout 3 months later the basket completely grenaded on I-40 near Ludlow,Ca @ about 150! Previous owner never abused the clutch and neither did I. I bought a Muzzy basket from Schnitz and scored a core cheap on eBay as what was left of mine was unusable. Prefer to buy my Muzzy stuff from Schnitz as the price is usually lower than buying direct from Muzzy and the folks at Schnitz are a whole lot nicer to deal with.

they make a big difference IF you have oil getting to them. you may need to do the "flat spot" mod to the clutch rod.
a low stack height is easily addressed by mix n matching steel plates. the thicker steels are harder to warp, but not indestructible. if you need more info just let me know
btw you forgot "buy a 14" CR

"Flat Spot" mod only works when clutch is dis-engaged.
Have the puller cross drilled .040 just behind the needle bearing flat. The puller is hollow and this allows a metered dual spray of oil Inside the hub. As the drilled hub spins, the oil will cool the plates.
