2000/2001 motors

Are they interchangable?I know the 2002 is different but someone told me the harness on the 2001 is different from the 2000??

Look the same to me....although ive never really inspected the wiring harness.

I cant see how it would be different....other than the ECU itself.

There are alot of things different, most of which are electrical & fuel related. As far as the motors there are differences but you could probably get through that ok.

I read somewhere that a ZX-12 engine will fit into a ZX-9 frame, no cutting needed....is this true?

Kcadby,Is it possible to just install a 5mm strocker crank with stock pistons and rods?Is there still the starter gear clearance issues?I have a strocker crank availlable to me at a good price and just want to know how much more money and work it be to install?

Cowboy, They changed the pick- up on the cams,
You will have to use the cams, at least the exhaust for the year
of the wire harness and computer you are using.
That's what i heard from a reliable source.

What if i swaped ecu's at the same time?are the ecu plugs the same?
