Header Tick
I have an 00 with a Hindle system. I have a header tick that is irritating. What should I do, locate the culprit pipe, and attempt to shim it with an additional gasket?
I got a great deal on this Hindle system (about a year ago), and maybe this is why? It runs great, just the tick is annoying.

You could try pulling it out and re-installing a new gasket. Maybe even reverse the gasket that is already installed. I noticed that after they are used once, they are somewhat cupped. I jsut flipped mine the other way so they would compress again upon installation of the header. Might take you a lil time, but it would be better than listening to that tick every time you ride!!

Should be no need for "extra" gaskets...
It's not unusal to have to re-tighten the bolts after the bike has been run...

It is usually Header Alignment! At least that is what I have found! I have seen this when someone stands the Headers on end and being light, a tube can bend! Take a straight edge across the top and make sure they are all in correct! Then look at each one to see if they are a little left or right of center! If this is what you see (This is usually where the problems is when I find it) loosen the bolts and pull or lever the tube over and re-tighten!

My akro has a tick,gotta re-torque it.Can't hear it while riding,though.
