muzzy block offs
Sorry to be a pain but what are muzzy block offs please.And also what top speed does the 17t sprocket give thanks

The block offs are plates that you put on the valve cover essentially in place of the clean air system presently there. If you look at a diagram, picture peek at you your own bike the clean air system mounted on your bike involves a bunch of plumbing etc that can be eliminated by removing it all and installing the Muzzy block off plates so that the system is sealed and doesn't leak.
The clean air system (a simple explanation) essentially injects air into the exhaust side of the valves so that unburnt fuel coming out into the exhaust will burn in the exhaust system and thergy not pollute the air as bad as if it were not burnt. ONe of the problems encountered when you start putting a high performance exhaust system on your bike with the clean air sytem hooked up you start experience back firing under deceleration. It is annoying, could cause damage and just isn't cool! So alot of peopl use the plates to block the system of.
The other advantage is when you are getting a custom map done it involves analyzing the exhaust. If the clean air system is working the readings are not accurate. So you have to temporarily block off or pinch of the clean air for the mapping. So if the block off is done you avoid the hassle.
There are also mods posted where the crankcase ventilation is hooked up to the clean air that you can search out on this site.
The 17 tooth gearing if I remeber correctly gets you something in the zone 182 to 184. But I am sure there ar some guys with the exact speed to the tenth of a mile.
