i counted and there were 27 threads in the first 47 that were direct zx12 related topics. one of the non-topics is this one YOU started.
but i digress...
there were several others concerning track, trailering, and non-zx12r specific, but just as important.
a few the topics headers weren't specific enough to call zx12, but were.
voting and such, well freedom IS important to our sport here. voting is THE ONLY way to keep it. important.
motorcyclist died, and someone posted it here for regulars. important.
so once you weed through those, you are left with maybe 10 of almost 50 that could be called useless by 'your' standard. these can be called morale boosting, they can be called getting to know each other etc. but if i recall on one of the 'useless' 'picture' posts you made comments that seemed approving of it....
so perhaps get off the high horse....
or
why not just buy a friggin service manual for the tech stuff and be done with it.....

there's only so many technical issues you can talk about...most veterans of this board have asked and recieved information on every technical issue imagined..we have very knowledgable guys at this board (i.e. vince, zhool) that would be happy to answer any ? that you have...i suggest you ask a technical ? and if you dont like the subjects here...you know what you can do.....LEAVE

Well.... that woke some of you up, and it didn't take a couple of weeks!
Looks like my post was mis-interpreted and twisted to have a meaning that wasn't intended. 1) Regardless of how many members there are on this board, the ZX12R Zone moves along at a snail's pace. You can argue about that if you'd like, but it is true. 2) There are 3 major ZX-12R discussion boards (that I know of anyway) on the 'net - one at LABUSAS, one on Easyrider's site and this one. Pretty much everything ZX-12R-related winds up on all 3 discussion forums. Many times the info is on one of the other boards and then someone drags it over here.
Now, if that's the way the majority of the people on this board like it then that's cool. I was merely posting with my OPINION about something. I thought that was a big part of what these boards were for. I don't have a beef with any of you on this board. When someone else posts THEIR opinions I don't come on here and tell them to fuck off and get lost. Being a long-time member that has answered WAY more technical questions than I've asked on this board I don't see why you'd attack me like that. I don't post often, but when I do it's normally to answer someone's questions. Go look in the archives on this and Easyrider's and see how often you find info given under the name Red 12R Rocket or RocketRacer.

I gotta admit, it ain't what it used to be. I think that can mostly be attributed to us having covered about everything that can be covered concerning the 12. Used to be that if I went a couple days without checking in I would panic. Now the topics that are really relevant are on the first page for a few days. Often I check in for the humor and to help out the newbies as much as anything.

...I think the reason why it seems "slow" on ALL of the ZX-12R forums on ALL of the sites is because nothing really "new" has happened with the 12 since 2000...nothing as provocative as the Duc 998 to the new Duc 999, ya' know what I mean?...makes sense, don't it?...
...so, if and when Kawasaki makes the new 12 into a lighter 13 with an undertail exhaust, more power, better instrumentation, built-in GPS and alarm, radial brakes, better suspension, better aerodramatics, adjustable ergonomics, and a naked undiluted street-fighter variation of the same platform, we'll continue to do as we do...and eventual newbies will soon discover the power of the 00'-03' 12s and ask the same ol' questions that have been answered ad nauseum...and we'll share our thoughts and opinions...and we'll twiddle with off-topics to keep ourselves entertained when we''re not riding the beast until the new, improved, and different beast comes along...imho:

ZXlnt is correct. Fish specifically created the other forum for non bike stuff posts. All of you that are saying you have rights and this is good, well just post in the "CORRECT" section, and be mature about it!!! I complained about this problem earlier and was told that "WE" would police ourselves about posting in the "WRONG" area. This sadly has NOT happened..................Let's all work together and post things where they should be posted.

I can understand wanting pure facts and straight up Tech. knowledge etc.etc. But how exciting would your life and relationships be if you filtered out all the other stuff.(banter,leafblowers,army smileys,Britney,etc.) This site is a network of friends and family just keeping it real. No need for change.

You guys are missing what I am trying to say. That stuff is great. But all I was suggesting, politely may I add was to just post it in the bikeland forum instead of the zx12r forum. I was not saying dont post OT thread, just put them in the bikeland forum, dats all..

I kinda of agree with you, but...sometimes I post on the 12 side vs. the bikeland side cause it seems to me that more people, more posts, more topics are all on the 12 side. People do post on the bikeland side, but not nearly as much. Maybe its just me. I find that people post whore all across the board.

The only reason there are more posts on the 12 side is because people post them there instead of the bikeland side. As far as post whoring. I dont think ur crown is in a danger..
