ZX-12R Zone???
More like "The Dead Zone"!! I keep coming here to check for ZX-12R related info, but it just doesn't find it's way to this site (unless it has already been posted somewhere else first!). WTF??
I'll check back in a couple of weeks to see if anything new has developed!!

Man this is a great forum, plenty of knowledge here. If you have questions, someone here probably has the answers. If they don't we'll just blame the whole damned thing on Bart. That's what I always do.

I think it has somewhat lost its way. Lots of off topic non-12r and non cycle stuff being posted in this forum. I thought that was what the bikeland forum was for. The forum just needs a good cleaning leaving only the 12R threads thats all..

It's all in what you make of it.........
I think this forum has a good mix of bike related topics along with other stuff. To me it is all about the friends I've made here, and the fun we've had on our Gap trips etc. I'm interested in all things bike related of course, but I don't mind off topic threads at all. In fact I'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to posting off topic threads. IMHO it spices stuff up around here when we throw a little humor in here and there. That may offend some, but as the old saying goes "If they can't take a joke fuck 'em".

Lot of people lurk and dont post... Every now and then we nuke inactive accounts... I nuked a couple hundred a while back.... that 2K # is a pretty accurate fer active members.... we'd have even more if we were "wide open" (unblocked), but then the community wouldnt be as close knit as it is right now IMHo

Or, just do a search, the answer is out there.

I'm one of those 'lurkers' you mentioned. I read it at least once a day.
I drive Harleys usually, but am shopping for a 9 or 12, and this board is a great way to know more about the bikes we all love so much.
Even though you don't know me, I feel I know many of you just by watching the bantering, and hope to meet up with some of you at Daytona or Gap when I won't embarrass y'all on my Softail.

I am having some problems with my lawn blower. It seems that when ever I look into the big round tube it blows stuff into my eyes. What should I do?

this does bring up an interesting point tho. much as i and many others enjoy the non-bike threads here, i can see how some folks just aren't interested in anything but cold hard technical discussions. i don't really wanna create a separate forum, but perhaps a forum that mirrors selected threads? a "living library" if u will, in that you will still be able to post to those threads from either forum. it would just act as a filter, one implemented by admins & moderators. the more i think of it, the less i can think of any reasons not to do it. anyone have any objections or see any problems with this approach?

I like the banter along with the tech discussions. I just use the 'Thread Topic' to discern whether it sounds like talk or tech stuff.
Unless it's ZTurb0, then who knows WHAT the hell he's sayin.
I would hate for you to split the talk and tech discussions up. As people rant between posts, invariably the rant brings up other ideas in someone elses head, and the thread just keeps going.
Yeah, sometimes you get some fuzzy thinking in there, but it make for fun reading.

dont some of the "techical discussions" end up having some kind of friendly banter in them anyhow?
Can you create a "banter filter"?
a living library is a good idea, but you arent going to please everyone.
I think the search engine works fine, let it be used !
