Yeah the adjuster will surely total it when he sees the way that frame has taken some hits. OUCH!!!!

Im still feeling pretty rough. I have been having troubles breathing. The guy at the cycle shop just called and said he might be able to fix it. I dont know though. I only owe 6500 on the bike and all of that plastic plus a frame seems like it will be more than 6500 in damage.

Ryan,
Man I hope you get to feeling better. It looks as if you had a pretty nasty spill.
As far as the bike being repaired goes.....I don't know. Do YOU want it repaired? Or would you rather see it totalled??? I'm thinking that the frame damage is gonna automatically total it. But you never know.

I'm not sure, I would rather see them fix it, but I am nervous it will never feel right. I mean there is so much other stuff that is wrong with it. I dont know wnat to think. I will be pissed if they use used parts on it to save some money.

I can understand that.

If it's totalled won't your insurance company have to replace it???

Bottom line is that I hope it all goes your way.

Thank God for brain buckets...glad you're ok dude. My helmet took a good shot in my get off too. Those HJC/KBC helmets hold up pretty well IMO. Hope you feel better

That bike is a 2001 right?
If insurance totals it, you should be able to get a new one if you add your insurance check , deductible, and maybe a few dollars.
It's the end of the year and 2001's are cheap.
A few dollars now could save you BIG time down the road.

All I can say is that the bike and the helmet look way worse than the pics show. I really can't believe that they are going to fix it. I had told Ryan to see what he could buy the bike back from the insurance company for thinking that most of it was cosmetic and it would make a good bike for my wife. After looking at it I was thinking no way would I want to repair all that damage! Ryan went down extremely hard on the initial drop and it really shows in both His bike and His body!

The shop just called and it is going to be about 4500 in damages. He said all of the parts were very cheap. Maybe it was just meant to be.
