My First Ride
I just got back from a short ride. This was the first time that I have "really" gone riding after the accident with my Girlfriend. Every time that I had gone riding before this time I was still thinking about the accident and it freaked me out. It feels good to start getting back into the groove. Since I have not done much riding in the last two months my hands are getting a little sore now. I wish that winter would stay away for a few more months.

Are you riding with your girlfriend or just by yourself now. Glad to see that the accident hasn't changed your mind about riding.
I had my accident Oct 2nd, the next day I was at the dealers asking for info on the 2002 12r. Waiting for bike to come in.
Keep your head up.

I have made my mind up that I will never have another passenger on the ZX-12 the bike is just not made for another person to ride on. In the accident their are other factors involved but, I will never feel good about taking another person for a ride on that bike.

Glad your riding again. My first ride (except for putting around on my wifes 250 ninja) was blasting my friends ZX-9 down the dragstrip for 5 passes.I guess I'm not scared.
My wife would be mad if I wouldn't let her ride on the back of my 12 anymore , although she does enjoy riding her own bike.

For thoes that don't know my Girlfriend passed out while she was on the bike and the sad part is that we were going about 100. Yes she was wearing protective gear. I know that if she had not been wearing the gear she would be dead. The helmet is really fucked up. But no scratches are deeper than half of the thickness of the helmet. I still have the helmet at a friends house and I keep it as a reminder of what happened. She is ok now but the thought of what happened will keep me from ever giving a ride to someone else. If I die on a ride that is my choice. I will never give up riding. I can't it's part of who I am and what I do.
