Anyone stayed in Maryville TN lately? We have a group headed down and need some hotel motel reccomendations in Maryville. We usually stay at Tapico Lodge but their season ends in Oct. Any suggestions for Maryville?

You have your pick of the litter in Maryville. Alcoa is only a short drive from there.
Titty bars?? Dont count on it...lol
Perhaps Lucky12 and his lovely wife Melissa could point you in the right direction...hehe.

we stay at the PRINCESS MOTEL at 2614 US.Highway 411 /129 south
maryville.tn. 37801
(865) 982-2490
its an old motel, but they have treated us good over the last two years.
the good thing is its only a few miles to the gap and a nice ride along the
river. just down the road from the motel is a real good resturant, good home cookin too.
good luck and have a safe trip.

Thanks TT
Thanks for the info about the Princess. Is this a strip kind where all the rooms go outside?

jse20,
Maryville and Alcoa are basically connected. The new motels such as Hampton Inn (865-983-1101), Fairfield Inn (865-984-9350) & Comfort Suites (865-984-9840)are all nice.
There is a bunch more located by the airport which is a 30 minute ride to the bottom of the mountain. The Princess Motel phone number is (865-982-2490)and it is about 8 miles closer to the mountain.
If you get to come, be patient....the leaf lookers are out on the prowl.
BTW,
There is a couple of the bars you are asking for, The Mouses Ear and Bambis, both located within 10 miles of the airport, just make sure your shots are up to date!

Good Deal
Leave it to an "OldKawboy" to know the finest watering holes in the desert. We have a group of 8 guys headed down in a couple weeks. Hopefully the leaves will be past prime and the roads a little more desolate. Nov 9th thru the 11th is the danger zone. We were riding in 43 degree weather last Sunday so we are ready for the warm chill of fall in TN.
