WTF!!!
stock had 152 n 83ft. After pipe n pc3 bike161 n 86. Rebuilt wit a 1270 n adj cam sprockets cause number 3 wall was badly gouged. Bike had 171 wit 96ft wit a decent tune from Hovey performance. botttom half took a sh#$ after 1 year. Went to change oil n had silver in the oil. So.......rebuilt top to bottom. After break in bike had 168 n 98, granted this was a different builder n tuner. He has been building for alot of years n was told he was very good however his tuning skills on the dyno r fresh. Anyway i lost the map that was in pc3 n tried a friends map (thanks again KZ) bike had 152 n 84ft. He played wit it for 6 runs n ended up wit 157 n 88. I know the tune is off but what the hell happened to my 170ish. I thought i wouldve had 180 something since on the last buildup i had the head cleaned up. I live in Delaware n i m looking for a dyno specialist or datalogging guru. Rather have real world power n not favorable dyno numbers, but this sh$$ cant be right. Bike blows black smoke when ran hard WOT. Doesnt feel like its missing or running bad just not running to its full potential. Bike has bout 4500 to 6k since last build. Doesnt burn oil just seems like it runs rich but A/F looks like its almost round 14 in some spots. I just put the muzzy advance to 3 or just a little past midway of the first line. GUESSIN GAME WIT THAT INDICATOR ON THE MUZZY. Havent ran it on dyno wit this but it cant hurt. Anyway i was in 5th gear n my friends 1k was in 6th n he still pulled away from me, n i m mad as hell, lol. After all this engine build i m not happy. Any suggestions. I m hopin something simple is keeping it botttled up! Again looking for a real tuning specialist close to delaware, hell i will go further if thats what i got to do, lol. Thanks again KZ for all ur help, i appreciate it!

Get it tuned by a competent tuner. Your a/f looks really bad, so don't be discouraged by the numbers you have now.

havent done anything yet but put the muzzy advancer on, Just found out bout the hp last sat. I was kinda ok wit the 171 n 98 ft cause these were readings wit a 240 tire kit so i kinda was like oh well, mayb the tire took the rest. But something is seriously messed up here. I m setting up an appointment to do a leak down test this week hopefully, I got my daughter this week n daycare closed so I am kinda of stuck this week comin up, lol. Damn thing is so weak now i might let her ride it round the block, lol. Just kiddin, she only 2 n having problems steering her 6v around in the house. I was thinkin bout taking the bike to HTP in VA or up to orient express in NY but both are 4 hours away. I want to make sure no compression problems before takin the trip.

are you still running the big tire and rim set up? a friend got the fat tire kit on his mellow turbo busa. they warmed up the bike and did a couple of pulls and then put the fat tire kit on and did more pulls all same day and it sucked up 43 hp swinging all that weight.
12 to 1 is too rich. shoot for 12.8 to 13.0 good dyno numbers for my bike (and still drag strip safe for all you guys thinking there has to be black carbon blowing out) is 13.5.
do you have a big tire and rim on it ? if so you will not get what others get with a lite rim and tire setup. mike lost 2 mph going from a normal rear tire to a heavy shinko.

I believe the rear rim with tire was 40 -47 lbs. I cant quite remember, i had weighed it last time i change the rubber. I m not necassarily tryin to run low 9's in a 1/4 but with the mods done to the bike i should at least get into the 9's. She probably would have done it my first night if i could get a better 60', plus this was only wit 152 hp at 134mph, lol. Once i get the 1270 runnin like a 1270 i know i will go 9's wit the 240! (fingers crossed, lol)

ur boy wit the turbo must have had a 280 or bigger, thats alot more weight compared to the 240 plus the chain has to go through a jackshaft sprocket, i m sure he loses hp going through the 2 chains. I have read that the hayabusa has an outside drive for larger than 240 tires without the big hp lose cause it removes the jackshaft n sprocket

Took it out last night n feels a little stronger with the ignition timin set bout 2.5 to 3. Like i said kinda hard to know exactly wit that muzzy advance. Road in traffic n i thought it might be harder to start after it got hot but it started pretty easily. Now my damn air ride started leaking, compressor keeps comin on, so i guess its more work to do!

Took my little ass 157 hp wit the 240 tire kit to the track tonight n ran:
1.63,4.34,6.56,109mph,8.5,10.181, 134mph
1.644,4.332,6.555,110mph,8.502,10.173,134mph
1.678,4.541,6.802,108mph,8.766,10.447,133mph (spinning out the hole)
60' aint too too bad, lol. After all its only my 2 time to the track since 2001 or so. If i come out wit a better 60 my 330 is shit cause it falls on her face, at least its lifting the front instead of dyin this time, all i did was advance the ignition bout 3 degrees, n added a tooth in the back. mph is low but i would take that as being short on power.
cant wait too get it tuned by htp performance soon, should b 9.7, 9.8 once i get my horsepower back n practice. Was comin out at 6k, on the last run came out at 6.5 to 7 n once let out of clutch she broke sideways. Hopefully the state of tune is so messed up i at least get mid 170's. U talkin bout almost 20 hp, mayb the motor is just shit, but it runs fine n u dont really notice alot of power loss until u get ur ass handed to u! lol,, they said at the track i couldnt run a 9 sec pass wit the tire on it, i say wit a little more practice its a wrap. I dont bother tellin em i m lacking power

could b possible, but i sold the stock wheels, plus would have to get spacers cause the swingarm is wider, but i m curious as to c that myself. May do that when my street ridin for the year is over wit. I m curious what the bike really weighs, i may go weigh it at work on the truck scale. I m thinking round 600 plus me 200. Ony gearing is a 48 on the back. Mph IS slow, i ran that wit my 95 750, 10.44 at 130mph, but i had alot more seat time wit that. No doubt the tire slows the bike up but I m just lookin for a 9 sec pass with how its setup now. A good tune should do it, plus seat time. I m really only mad bout the lose of power after the rebuild, just prayin its the tune!!!! I will keep everyone posted, Also thanks for ur help wit the clutch, with ur help i actually fixed it myself, no slippin at high rpms for the entire summer so far n thats wit rollons wit a passenger on. Went to 2 mechanics n both times the clutch still slipped.

I think you are freaking out more than you should be. The rear wheel is eating a good 10+ HP. How much do you weigh? Stock motor pipe/pc3/filter I was going 118 in the 1/8 but I'm 120-ish lbs!
We have normal street compression ZX-12R 1427cc with about 200 RWHP and 1397 Busas near that too. Your numbers don't seem that off. Just sounds like you need a good tune. One chart was too rich, one chart was too lean. Get the a/f down first and go from there.
Those big wheel/tire kits EAT HP.

just remember a 250hp turbo busa lost 43hp the day he put on the big tire kit. you do not have a chance getting that hp back on a "good tune". but it looks phat i bet.

LOL, after the tune the hell wit it, whatever it has is what it has, no more posting bout my lack of something, but i m goin to get that thing into the 9's, whether its more seat time or increase in hp from tuning, i guess after i do get into the 9's if i ever go back to the stock wheel i should fly huh, lol. If i dont get it she will b on ebay, lol. Buy it now price will be a good one. 43hp is alot of hp to lose. but 210 hp it still has sounds realllllllyyyyy good to me. Whippin up on bikes wit a phat tire is awesome

i am thinking you are correct on weight with u and the bike.the only problem is the chunk of the weight is now rotating mass.your total package is about 120lb more than mine. i can get 9.50s your weight alone is .6ish slower by weight and worse cause of the phat tire setup.
if you like it great but i only seen them setups on two types of bikes. first type was when the city group from philly showed up with a crap load of riders that was all about bling if they couldn't ride. the other was at the maxton mile with turbo busas making shitloads of torque and needing the tire.
it is all in what you like but if you want to get the 9s maybe get something lite for the rim and tire setup that is easy to change or get your bike tuned safe and spray it which in the long rum may just be the ticket. you should not spin and i am thinking are sort of longer.
try to do the math on outer circumfrence of tire vs tire. maybe the 48 is not enough gear to to ofset the bigger tire(rounder i am thinking)
good luck. just spray it.
