FIve years-old!
Today is my boy's 5th birthday...90 pounds of well behaved and well disciplined muscle...very quiet most of the time...loud when he has to be...a tenacious biter, too, but only when told or when you threaten our space...he can stay in his house for 12 hours plus and not make a mess...doesn't run into the streets unless told to...afraid of nothing except heights, but only when he realizes how high up he is...the boy loves his toys...will do just about anything for me, so fearless...loves his 'daddy', too!...
Yup, I'm proud of my boy...hard to believe he has only five more years of riding shotgun with me...then he gets to stay home, in 'retirement'...then a few more years after that till he chases the clouds in the sky...
He's a good boy, my K9 Uoschi...HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BUDDY!!!! 
Be good to your pets and 'working partners'...they're with us for such a short time...

I lost my 14 year old dobie this year. Left a monsterous hole in my heart and sole that I doubt will ever be healed completely.

saw a lil' clip on the news last night showing the winner of this years "top cop dog" competition, i think it said 200 dogs competed, was yours there worm~hole?
The winner was a german shepherd that looked so smart and alert it was amazing.
He had a look in his eye like he knew something about your mother but was just not willing to say something about it just yet.

Hey bagster...my K9 was not part of that group...maybe one day...he may not know something about someone's mother, but he knows how to open the car door and has attempted numeroustimes to bite off the hinges of lock doors during searches (now how does he know the mechanics of that???...

I was just thinking about my ridiculous little mutt. 5 lbs on a wet day with a 10 lb. heart and a 1 ounce brain. Sweetest creature to walk the face of the earth.
