I think I'm selling her...

Hello all,

I think I'm going to sell my zx12. Why you ask? Well, I'm really into this Supermotard stuff and she doesn't get ridden anymore. Having such a great bike just sit makes me unhappy.

I'll take any suggestions (should I ebay? should I list in papers? what should I do...)

Here are the details:

2001 ZX-12r with about 12,000 miles. It was silver. It now has the following parts:

Sebimoto Carbon Fiber fairings
Carbon Fiber gas tank
Dymag Carbon wheels
PFM 6piston calipers and rotors
Brembo Radial master cylinder
Corbin seat
Ohlins rear
Mikuni rearsets and tripple tree/clip-ons
Muzzy 1361 kit - solid, making over 200horse with bout 3-4k miles.
Muzzy ti exhaust
Muzzy Steering Damper
Muzzy clutch hub w/upgraded springs etc. (Still on first clutch plates/fibers)
Magical racing mirrors
Standard wheelbase
etc.

Just a good play bike! She ain't perfect (close), but she's a real runner. She lives in the NYC area. Here is a link with some pictures...

Wow, bummer that you are selling. But I understand how you feel. I'd suggest Ebay for a broader audience. If you have a local racing club, advertise on their website. Lastly, you might want to put it at a dealer, you never can tell who might walk in and fall in love with it.

The real problem with your 12 WhiteLighting is it is so bland, so common. Just another 12 you know. Perhaps you should think of customizing it some!!

Bad Ass looking machine. I'd say try Ebay and set a pretty high price. The bike is unusual and maybe it will catch the fancy of someone looking a special bike. Unfortunately as I am certain you are aware these babies mean a lot to us personally but we can never seem to get what $$ wehave in them. NIce ride.

Give us a ballpark on what you were trying to get? $15k? $20k
Might be better off to part it out.

TB-

I know I'd be better off parting it. But I don't have the stomack to do that to her (sides, its effort that I'm not into).

Total replacement cost has to be over 25k. I haven't decided yet, but I think I'm willing to "take the hit" in order to get her out there and ridden. I'm thinking 16ish? Dunno, could use the advice.

Work has been very demanding. I do not have time to show the bike. I saw it the other day... Covered in dust. Haven't been to the garage in ages (and thus I haven't paid them - neglect, not lack of funds).

I'm going to call this week, find out what it takes to get her out of lockup. And I'll sell her, as is for $8,000 to first come with cash.

The bike is low miles and perfect, although I did see the rear fairing was starting to crack a bit (musta been under tension). Thats a $450 dollar piece. Think 8500 - 450. That's what I'm looking for.

I work to hard to have time to muck around. Serious buys please. I won't show it, without a serious buyer.

Thanks all, I hate to sell her, but I can't let her sit anymore.
