Space Shuttle Camera...Live Video In Two Days
Just a reminder in two days the shuttle will launch and NASA has a small camera on the external liquid fuel cell. It is located on the left side and has a view of the shuttle and the right SRB. NASA will have a live feed starting 15 min prior to launch and aprox. 15 min after launch. http://www.nasa.gov/misc/ettvcam.html

You may want to catch it on TV considering the potential of bandwith problems of that feed.

STS-112 is due to go up today at 3:46 EST.
I'm working in Melbourne today so I'm going to walk outside and watch it live.
Heard on the scanner list that a plane broke shuttle airspace. Quote from report "Just had an airspace intrusion, possibly in the Space Shuttle launch danger zone. The CAP F-15s, JOLLY and Sheriff's helo chasing him. Daytona Beach 132.65 handling the related tfc."
Then shortly later "County Sheriff's helo has informed the ATC that the aircraft is down. "He broke everybody's airspace; he is in a lot of trouble."
I was outside at lunch and saw 2 F-15 ripping hard turns. They looked like they were on their way to ruin someone's day. Got back in and read that report. It made sense after that.

never knew there was a whole channel dedicated to nasa. well, several channels really. amazed at how open they are. the launch video was great, tho my favourite was watching the cockpit camera, and seeing the back 2 astronauts (both first tiemers) pass back & forth a little school locker type mirror so they could watch out the windows behind them. was priceless!
