VROD Time?
Whats up guys, I haven't been posting much since the move. But I was looking at various pic's of the VROD last week and I am at a stand off. I don't want to give up my 12 but I want that damn VROD! IMHO that is on kick ass bike, I know its a "Hardley" but I must have it. I'm going to the Hardley dealer tonight, but if its some ungodly price over sticker it stays where it is! Regardless of what happens I will always love my 12! Hell I think I'll go hug it right now

Get a VR1000
Get a VR1000
Local shop said they are selling for around 20K
I'd get the VR1000, but that's just me...RoadRacer wannabe.

Lay Off the Crack!
Dude,
You must be smoking it bigtime!
Just kidding! Probably the best thing Hardly ever did!
Still would like to see a sportier version, without those kicked out forks!
Maybe more of a Monster style?
I am from Milwaukee, but I'd never give up my Kawasakis.

I'm still trying to figure out how to Keep my 12. I would have a hard time parting with it. I would sell it out right if I did get rid of it. But that damn VROD is a hot bike! And the mark up thing is a load of horse shit! My only hope is with the economy shot to hell they will not sell like "Hardley" thinks. That will be sooooo Cool ride the Rod with my Green Ninja jacket on. Then ride the 12 with black leather a white "Wife Beater" T Shirt and a pot belly. Shit got to work on the belly part time to hit hooters and get some 3 mile island wings and several pitchers of beer

Tough call... I went through the same prob when I traded my Duc for the 12..... You have to decide.... I do however totally regret trading her and if I had tons of $$$ I would have kept both..... aint it shitty!

I Thought you were getting a Yacht!
That's the only reason I can see for owning a BOAT ANCHOR.

Professer Huffnagle's motorized riding appliance?
Harry,
I'm with you man. Just a boat anchor to me. I guess that I can think of a few good reasons for owning a Barely Ableson:
1. If I was old and just wanted to go slow
2. if I wanted to be careful
3. if I enjoyed loosing races
4. if I really really wanted to work on my motorcycle instead of riding on it.
5. if I didn't already have enough oil on my garage floor
6. and if I was deaf, so that loud obnoxious sounds didn't bother me
Oh yeah, how can you tell if a hardley is running correctly?
........actually it really doesn't matter does it! LOL
I have heard of a new accessory for Hardleys.... It is a bar magnet that attaches to the rear fender and rides about 1/2 inch off the ground. It catches all the parts as they fall off so that when you stop you still own them.
The best yet is a Hardley full dresser! Lets see now? How about taking the worlds least reliable motorcycle engine, and putting it on your long distance touring bike? Sounds like a formula for a lot of hitch hiking to me.

Bring it On!
I am so excited that they are bringing this bike out.
I can hardly sleep nights!!!!
See, I can't get any Harley riders to race me.....
And I am going to have the time of my life walking the dog on those things when the owner thinks they are fast!

I wouldn't say that myself.
If Harley started building motorcycles I actually liked at competitive prices I would consider it. But when all they build is slow fat cruisers (or slightly less slow but still fat cruisers), I'm not interested.

Dino!!!...what's up, dude?...personally, I've always liked Harleys and their idiosyncracies(sp)....but I never liked the big dollar mark-ups...I even thought about buying a drag-style clone with big-inch HPs and Super-FAT meat in the rear to handle the HP, but with limited funds, I decided I wanted to ride the twisties more with just one bike...if and when I do get a Harley or a clone (when I win the lottery), I will use it for what it does best...that is,"posing"...c'mon, "posing" can be fun, too!...if we were to be truely honest with ourselves and our egoes, we'd admit that we "pose" in one way or another no matter what kind of bike we're riding at that moment...incredible talent aside (for all you super talented riders), we (that includes wannebes like me) ARE the envy of non-riders and some riders who wished they also had the bike you're on...I would venture to say that we somehow sublimenally(sp?) "pose" for others, riders and non-riders alike...no matter what type of bike we're on...am I right?...bottomline...RIDING MOTORCYCLES IS GREAT FUN!...no matter what type we ride...I like the VROD and the Firebolt...yummy...

VROD
I was planning on a VROD but found out about the delay and the prices on the first ones , which means a longer wait. I got sick of waiting so I went out a week ago and bought the VTX. I love it!!!!!! very fast for a cruiser. with pipes you get close to 100 hp and 115 torque.

ZX-9r - I think you might want to consider donating that rocket launcher you got hanging underneath your bike to the war effort in afganistan!!

Come Bart, don't be that way. I was going to ask you for a loan. Honestly if I don't get the bike and the harley thing is just a passing fancy. I'm going through it big time right now so I'm not thinking clear. For now I actually like that bike. Are you going to bring the new bike home? Or are you waiting until spring?

Bart, somehow I knew you had a bunch of parts already. I guess your new bike will be like Steve Austin. He was a good piolot but they rebuilt him. I can't wait to see your new bike. I know you and Bri have a plan of what to do and when to start on it. Did you get the Black and Gold?
