I still ride, no matter the weather. I usually dont watch my speed unless the roads are wet.
I'll ride till Thanksgiving week for sure, then I park it in a storage unit for the winter months. I dont take it out again till Spring Break, never sooner. I probably could take it out a few weeks sooner since the weather starts to turn around, but usually there is too much gravel on the roads and by Spring break, most of it is usually cleared off.
On a side note, I finally sprung the $600 for a Vanson jacket with armor, so in the meantime, I gotta couple months of use before the ole 12 is parked.
Needs a life
Full throttle!

The 12 is pretty good in cold weather. My RC51 was an utter beast in the wet. The ZZR is more comfortable, gives better wind protection than either, tho, so it's the designated bitch for the cold weather commutes.

ah, but the cold weather unleashes sooo many more ponies. Just too bad that you can not screw them to the ground, as they try to buck you off your ride! But the blackies around the corners have been fun so far.... Sea level is great place to be. but that said, if I was living at altitude, i would go turbo. Oh, maybe its time to move lol

my unwritten rule {which has been broken} is to ride if the weather is 30 degrees or better... speed not a factor.. hard as i can when the time is right!

I'm just curious as to how well the tires grip in colder weather. I've done a lowsider because of the dew forming on manhole covers and another because of the dew pulling the oil out of the center of the road.Sometimes I just need to remind myself.

Its 34 F(in) degrees outside, sunny, with fog in the low lying areas. Sounds like a good morning ride to work. Problem is the tires won't even warm up. I have the onset of the flu, and I am wearing sunglasses..................
