for those running 180 55

well ive been running 190 50 since I ve had the bike. I decided to try the 180 55. Im about to get them put on and im just looking for feed back. Have you had any problems with the narrower tire ? I like to drive hard in the turns and wonder can I go over as far with this size ?

I know allot are using them just lookin for some re assurance.

thanks

oh ya its a michelin pilot road 2 on the back and power pilot up front

Haven't tried 180/55 on my ZX but noticed that Michelin now offers Pilot Road 2 in 190/55 and I think that will be my next tire. 55 should be better in the turns and Pilot Road should offer more mileage with decent grip on the steert. It will be end of summer though, because I have fresh set of Pirellis going in this week...

careful at max lean folks, I scraped the sh*t out of my lowers w/the smaller tire- moreso than the stock tire, which hardly ever scraped. If you have big "chicken strips" this is probably not a condern for you...

I think a 6.20 if you do twisties; but that will really slow down your steering. .

IF your just showboating around town, probably bigger? I know the HD guys are putting HUGE tires on them choppa's...

had the bike up to 300 kph and doesnt hold the road as good. PP up front pilot road 2 on the back. front seems lighter and isnt as stable at high spped. Ya the 180 might be a bit too narrow. It was worth the try but ill prob be going back to 190 50. I notice the gearing change with the new 55 series . I can feel the taller gear changes.
