Hey Doug.. Quick question, can you make sure I'm going the right direction on the ignition advancer??I'm looking for 2 degrees retard first, then maybe 4 degrees later if needed). Can you explain(or post a pic)of where I need to be as far as the 5 marks are concerned,of course,in relation to the arrow.I use to think that each mark on the advancer was 1 degree...(for about a year and 1/2 I thought this),now I'm getting some info that each mark is 5 degrees(from the middle mark).Just to make sure,I'm asking you(no offense to anyone else),but I'm content on making this motor last longer then my previous 2 on my first ZX-12.

INTRA,
Each mark is 5 degrees. There are two marks each side of center on the ring, giving a total of 10 degrees advance or retard. On a ZX-12 where the trigger is on the right and the crank rotates clockwise, the single mark on the hub will be BEHIND (to the left of) the center mark on the moveable ring when the ignition timing is ADVANCED.
But a more important question is why don't you have a PC3R so you can have advance at part throttle and retard on the juice at WOT?
Doug

I did think about a pc,I know that this bike made very good hp in stock form compared to my last 12(about 11 more),and I didn't want to add a pc thinking that it would somehow lose power,I have seen lots of stock bikes run better before they were put on,and I'm sure it's because it was mapped incorrectly,I didn't want to deal w/that with such short time before the Texas Shootout,so for right now,I figured this would be the easiest way(I don't know crap about power commanders),but if I had a little input, perhaps I could slap one on-if I can get a good price on one, thanks for the info.
