Engine Ice and Paint Disolving
Has anyone used Engine Ice coolant and found flecks of black paint in the coolant when it is changed?
02 ZX12 - I just drained the coolant (Engine Ice) and saw quite a few black flecks in it. I thought maybe it was rubber from a seal until I really looked closely. Then I notice the black paint on the radiator inlet and outlet fittings was peeling off, it was very soft, and I ran my finger around the inside of both hoses and found black paint inside the hoses.
This is the first time I've used Engine Ice. I noticed a difference in my engine running cooler. It has been in my engine for 2 years/10,000 miles.
Any experience with similar problem?
