custom mapping
I am wondering how much if any improvment should I expect to see from having a custom map made for my bike. I am currently running the 1270kit, polished heads and redegreed cams.

Depends. The first step any reputable dyno shop would do would be to do a baseline run to look at how your fueling is right now. I assume you are just interested in 100% throttle mapping, which is what you are gonna measure horsepower at in any case.

it's usualy good for anywhere from zero (if map is good) to 5hp if the map sucks...
The "drivability" is the part I like about doing full maps
Just finished an 02 Busa with D&D Slip-on(s)...was 163HP, now has 167HP 102 torq...
