GOZR,are the dimensions at the pivot point close? I wouldn't have to worry about the caliper slide "cuz the RAM ssswingarm comes w/ brembo set-up and it's all on the left side. They have these available for the 7....Muzzy used them on their RAPTORS.......ME WANT BAD!!

just curious,
if a shorter swingarm is on your "must have" list, why not just have yr stock shortened????
My local fab guy (Greywolf) put 6" on my arm for $350, he could just as easily taken some off.
just a thought.

Actually, I want both a stock swingarm, and a shorter zx7r swingarm. I will use the 7rr swingarm for sprint races, and the 12r swingarm for endurance races. And the price was right - $40 including shipping.

swft, if I remember correctly, the old '96/'97 RR used Nissin brakes instead of Tokico. Is the mounting configuration for the rear caliper holder different from a regular 7R swingarm?
Also the RR's swingarm pivot could be made adjustable by kit from kawi. So does that mean that the RR's swingarm pivot measurements are also different from the 7R's?
entropy, I wouldn't mind cutting mine, but I'd rather have the original swingarm to put back on when I traded it in.
GOZR, am I reading this right? The 7R swingarm and 12R suspension bolt right right on? The 12R shock angle and length are unchanged? Is it just the "bar" that the caliper holder slides onto, that needs modification?
Parts diagrams of the '00 7R (P7) show a "bar" or "tab" similar to 12R's. Is it this "bar" or is it the caliper holder itself that needs to be modified?

Hey Sherm,
I'm getting a 7R swingarm, not a RR.
