Good timing. I had a small incident with my 12 on Saturday. Pulled her up in a huge wheelie in 4th gear with lots of mph (over a 125 anyway), got a bit to high touched the rear brake and she came down like a ton of bricks. Scrambled my brains, eyesight and the nads! Ouch, thank goodness I didn't crash. Checking the bike out on Sunday I noticed something on my front fender. Apparently I hit hard enough that the fender and ram air duct hit. The carbon (Hans unit)ram air duct won. Cracked my carbon fender. I guess it is also safe to say that I have pushed my forks up in the tripple clamps (she turns quicker that way) just a tad more then the fender to ram air clearance is.
Damn!

Z,
I know how you feel. Had a similar incident two years ago during my first ride out of the shoot w/new cf-akro and PM wheels. @ about 7500 in 2nd, the bike tried to do any immitation of the space shuttle and before I knew it, I was almost vertical and riding on one wheel and a prayer Fortunately, I got off the throtle slowly enough to achieve a soft touch down. Every time I think about adding power, I remember that incident, and have to ask myself if I really need more....

I have to say the nads have not forgotten! But the answer to the question is yes.
Considering all of the wheelies I have pulled over the years I have to consider myself pretty lucky. This one mishap was a bit painful but minor compared to what I have seen others do.
