Bostrom Stays with Kawasaki!!
Eric Bostrom has decided to stay with Kawasaki.....as reported officially from his own web site. He says " I know there will be some exciting new bikes coming in the near future" and would like to stay with Kawasaki as I have a great team and they treated me very well and also are looking at testing and possibly racing the new GP machine.http://ericbostrom.com/cgi-local/mojo/mojo.cgi?flavor=archive&list=Eric_Bostrom_News

From what I heard, once Ben signed with Honda, Kawi wanted Eric in AMA superbike for one more year to create a Honda/Kawi rivalry that will be the theme for the 2003 AMA superbike season and steal the spotlight from suzuki and yamaha. Eric wanted a seat on the GP for 03, but settled for an 04 seat because Ben signed to ride AMA superbike for Honda for one year.
Supposedly, both will be in GP in 04 when both factories have several bikes in the field.

Another year of listening to "poor poor Eric....." "if he only had better equipment he could win." Give me a break. Tell him to stop screwing around at the beginning of the year and that way he might be the winner at the end year. Both of the Bostroms need to mark their calendars so they know when the race season starts and ends. That way they can race seriously the entire season. That goes for Kawi too as they need to make sure Eric's bike is ready. Kind of what Honda usually does.
I don't see any kind of an automatic jump to GP for either of the Bostroms unless they win.Everybody wants to trash Hayden but he is 21 and has #1 plates in both the 600 and Superbike catagories. That said I don't look for him to set the world on fire in GP racing. I would love to see him whoop on Kenny junior just because Kenny doesn't believe any of the American riders are any good or qualified to ride on the same track as him. The interesting thing to think about is the what ifs. It appeared that Yamaha was prepared to make Nickey their #1 guy. With Honda's GP team who or what is he? The number 3 guy?

The Kawasaki team for GP's next year is Andrew Pitt and they are hopeing to sign one of the top italian riders for next year. And the GP bike will be raced at Motegi, Malaysian and Australian Gp this year if you want a look at it. I got told this from someone in Kawasaki Australia.

Hooligan- this isn't the first post that I've seen where sombody says something good about EB and you absolutely trash him. Nobody said "poor Eric" in this thread but you got inflamed again. I gotta ask, why the hard-on for Eric?
