wish i could go fellas, but uncle sam has seen fit to keep me here in the wonderful world of Kuwait, oh yeah..... gona miss Myrtle Beach too.. this sucks...would go if I were at home, savanah isnt that far from Daytona, I go every year i am at home. later guys....Jim

Also some dragracing will be going on in Deland,FL at the Deland Airport
October 19. Starts around 9am,it's a 1/8 mile track and only motorbikes.
Fun fun fun can't wait til October 17,2002 Biketoberfest...

if its a road wide enough for two bikes to line up and run down...thassa dragstrip.
Ohyea..I found a room for fri and sat night in deland...so im there friday afternoon!

The track you'll race on is a landing Strip, 1/8 mile track.

I find out the hard way! Got to spend a week in the hosptal.
It's a good place to race if you can hook good on the streets and know how to street race but me I'm a "Track Baby". I've learned about street racing the hard way
and now I leave that up to the fast plumber.
The short down is fine if you run under 115mph 1/8 miles.
You just got to remember that it's a landing strip for
airplane not a dragstrip for motorbikes.
I'll be thare and I'll be Watching, maybe even making some
money too!
Can't wait...

I don't think they have a schedule, I know of two races a year out
there. Bike week and Bikeoberfest!

Oh sorry October 19th at Deland Airport Starts @ 9am til 5.
It's open to everyone, no bike class, no time slips, 500 tree.
I think it's ten dollars to get inn and race but I'm not sure...

Ah YCIS, be prepared to wait all day long and then argue about your place in line with the racers who "hotlap". The event is usually hosted by a "club" and they are disorganized. Would be a better event if you didnt have to trek through 2 miles of dirt roads and crowds and they made an effort to keep the surface "safe".
Plus you might get to run right after some "ghetto" rig oils down the track at WFO. (which happened quite a few times I was last there.)
It makes Sportman Club look like an NHRA event...lol
That place gets 4 opposable thumbs down...lol

I'll be in Daytona this Thursday Night and FrYday Night,
we'll most likly be chillen at the Hass Gas Station(Inland)
Then off to GA October 20th for the last SEMDRA Race of
the year...
