My guess is that first of all this is a place to start, with their company. As long as he brings to his own company what he brought to Muzzys, great fit and finish, superior engineering, I would be a buyer. Good luck with your new company Mr. Sims and little Sims. That makes two high level Muzzys persons lost recently, didn't I just read about someone leaving to work on aircraft or something? Although I so have to admit I am a little disappointed that it came out for the busa first. If you are looking to sell a superior product Kawasaki people are the place to start we are used to paying a little extra, busa people would give money for any peace of crap as long as it has the busa symbol on it. Maybe you have to look through superbike green eyes to see the VW thing because it is really really obvious to me as well.

well the new "fender eliminator" can't compare to back in the Muzzy/ZX9R Kawi days. Sims even designed a titanium subframe for the bike back then.

I think what Mr. Fish is pointing out is that Richard Sims' entry into the business on his own is sure to bring a slew of great new products for all the bikes we like. Richard was half of the legendary Sims & Rohm duo, and when I was at Muzzys I helped him come on board. All the excellent parts we produced (Stealth N2O, shifters, turbos, etc.) had his fab and engineering in them. His project bikes are the stuff of legend and the parts he makes are always a cut above anything else on the market. Search some of the old Superbikes From Hell, and UFO Shootout articles that he and I competed in and you'll see some interesting stuff that was clearly before it's time (1993- 1452cc Street legal GSXR 203mph on motor).
And how many of you know about the sprayed GSXR 600 that Rich put together in 2001 that ran 193 & 9.56 /156 (no bar)?

I bought my GSXR750 to do the Cup Series back in 1986 from Billy when he was working at a Suzuki dealership! We go waaaay back. Good people - Both Richard and Billy. For those of us who've been in the industry a long time, Richard has an excellent reputation amongst us. Good luck!

omg this is funny....... Its a tag bracket.... ..... wow..... Hey maybe I shoud send pics of the one we made last weekend for a friends bike... Took 15 minutes, and it has a LED on it... Best part is it is intierely invisible when looking at the bike. If I am getting rid of something by putting something else on it is because I did not like seeing the part being replaced. I can see that one and its lame....

I know a liscence plate bracket is just that, and that you can't see it from behind but I guess I am silly cause I can appreciate it not because it is a plate bracket but because it is superior in every way to its counterparts. Why do you spend over 100.00 for a adjustable kickstand when you can get your cut-off tool out and hack on your stocker, because who wants a hacked up stand on a bike that you have this kind of money in. Its like the BST's they are truly a work of art, but lets face it anything you are going to gain from them can be accomplished with other much cheaper mods but many elect to go with the carbon fibers because they stand out, and are a really nice wheel. To each his own but if this is the first of many parts to come then ROCK ON! Oh, and for all you guys who are riding around with stock kickstands with the cut-off wheel treatment; no offense intended.

Call me crazy, but yea I spent 12grand on a bike, and I made my own fender eliminator, and cut my own kickstand off, and it looks clean! Hell, that $150 bucks for a kickstand just made the payment this month on it! Maybe we all didn't pay cash for it as you must have. Some of us enjoy riding without having $20000 in aftermarket parts.
