metzler sportec/mileage.
I was amazed at the handeling of the sportec's.I thought i was going to buy them again until....
i only got 800 miles out of it!and easy fla,no track day roads.whats a good mild stick tire i can get at least 2k,and i'll be happy.800 miles is just plain bad.
i had the dunlops,but just prefer something else,maybe the pilot sport?thanks.

Ask Redelk what he think about his Pilot Sports. I have them on my Gixxer 600, but I wanted more of a higher milage tire for my 12.
I just put Bridgestone BT010's on there yesterday, so no real report on milage and performance. I hear they are pretty good, though.

the 010's have treated me pretty good. mileage so far is great. would have got at elast 3000 miles out of them, and most of that 3000 was pretty hard riding. now i did get 4000 out of my d207s, but that was to the chords with much less hard riding. grip was good in the rear & when keeled over, but the front never braked nciely. slid it many many times, including of course wed.

Yeah, I hated my Dunlops. Got 5000 miles out of my 208's, replaced front and rear with 010's and LOVE them!! Got over 3000 miles out of my 010's so far and I expect another 2500-3000 more out of them just fine.
As far as the Pilot Sports, I've heard the HPX version of the Pilot Sports are meant for heavier bikes, specifically designed for the 12, Busa, and XX. The only negative I've heard is they take forever to heat up, and they just suck in the rain. There are a lot of comments throughout this forum about the Pilot Sports.
But no one has yet to comment about the Pilot Sport HPX's...has anyone tried these? Heard anything? Good or bad? Inquiring minds would like to know.
