Bear Stacks! "0" Rings

Spoke to Pierre a few minutes ago and here is what he said! The "0" Rings 40 MM Inside Diameter and 2 MM Thick (The mounted smaller "0" rings that fit in the throttle bodies!) In shipping by "Air", mounted on the stacks and in the cargo Hole of the airplanes where the temp is "MINUS 30 degrees below Zero" the "0" rings become brittle and in the stretched position, they crack and break!

He is bringing a boat load over here in November (Inside the plane and un-mounted) and in the meantime, he (and I) are looking for the rings here to send to anyone that had a problem! The stacks that were just sent to Orient Express (By Accident) were sent on a boat and should have no problems! Let me know personally if you are anyone you know had a problem and it "WILL" be taken care of!!

Since I do not post on "EasyRiders" Site, it may be helpful if someone transfered this note there!!

I just tried to edit my title and it took a lot less space to fill it up?? What is up with that?? The first time I could state Cracked/Broken "0" rings on Bear stacks Resolved! Then when I got a note and looked, all I saw was Cracked/Broken!! (You only get one chance to get the title correct??

I had problems with mine. Went to the hardware store and picked up some that are close. If Bear has the right ones available I would be happy to have some. I replaced 7 of the 8!

Maybe ship over some more o-rings, and label them Live Cargo, that way they should get put in a pressurized heated hold. Call them black worms or something

Excellent idea! Now that the "Problem" is understood, he will not mount the "0" rings! That way when they are cold, they will not be stretched oe against a cold metal object! We just need to fix the current problem! Ass soon as I find a supply, "FIRST" they go to the people that already have the stacks, then some to "Orient Express" to be shipped with each order! For about 20 total sets, that is 160 "0" rings!! More than a "Few"!!

Great public relations job Vincent!

Nice to see you handling this from the States-side.

I got my stacks about a week ago from Orient. I'll have to check them out.

No Kudo's Please (Too Hard for a Black man to "Blush" :o: I have found 2 places for the "0" rings and sent an e-mail to Pierre to see which one he wants to use! I will Order them tomorrow! Problem is that they are in Texas and mudt be shipped to Florida them to me! So the earliest for me will be about "Wednesday" next week! If I mail (1st Class Postage) Thursday, everyone should have theirs by Saturday the 21st Of September! I am sorry that anyone went through anything with anyone! I have the least patience of anyone I know and got mad as Hell myself just reading the posts! Trust me when I say that Pierre has even less patience for even the slighest thing going wrong!

Two things come to mind here first about Pierre, "Perfection is the least form of imperfection he can stand" and about the shipping of the stacks with the "0" rings mounted, brings something my Pappy always said "EXPERIENCE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING YOU GET IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU NEED IT" I think we have all just taken a "PHD" Course!!
