Do the K/N filters make any performance difference compared to the stock ones? I heard they do for most bikes, but for the 12 it doesnt make any difference. Any truth to this?
How often do you need to replace the K/N filter?

My only complaint about the K&Ns is the sloppy *neoprene* like frame they use which makes it easy to bend the filter media. I guess its just cheaper to produce than a rigid plastic frame like the stockers.
Otherwise, they seal better than the stockers, flow better, and do add a few more horses to the back wheel. The stockers need the screens removed for any increase in hp, but they are made pretty well. Just need to be cleaned...FREQUENTLY!
Just remember to *gently* pry the sides of the K&N filter before removal to break the vaccuum seal and you wont have any problems.
If the BMCs are as nice as everyone says, Id spend the extra $$ to get them. They have a plasitc frame like the stockers.

TB RacerDiscount is OK (so far) If the race cost more and they cost $85 from them, How much can the regular ones cost! I bought a set of race since I already have K&N!

K&N's only need to be cleaned. They have a "million mile warranty"!! Don't know if they will last that long, but they should last as long as your vehicle at least.
