ZX12R with 40,000KMS.... Is this the end of the world....
Thinking about picking up a ZX12R... but has this much mileage on it

I ve heard of some guys with 100 000km on these bikes. Depends on who owns it. Its a big bike and allot of people wouldnt be wide open with it all the time. Id say if the bike is in good shape and motor sounds good, shifts good and the price is right go for it. We all take a risk when buying something second hand. IMO these are tough bikes. Ive beat the shit out of mine for two years and so did the guy I bought it from. There are 25000 km's on her now and not a problem just a new clutch from drag racing it.
oh ya what year are you looking at buying ?

If it has been taken care of - no problem. I have now 115 000km on my ('00) bike and only thing that has been broken is the water pump seal and couple of clutch plates if You don't count them being consumables... And just last summer it had over 315 kph on the speedo with me and my big bag when was crossing the Europe... But any bike - old or new - can blow next time You ride it...
