Shanes old & my new wheels....

Many thanks to Shane for the good deal and for putting up with my pestering him.
It rained today so the indoor pictures don't do the wheels justice.
I had the wheels glass beaded, powdercoated gloss black and then installed new bearings....just in time for Christmas!

Heh heh............Merrry Christmas Dan.......to you, your wife and the boys.

Jeremy,
They are Carrozzerias. I think Shane said V1's.
Charles,
I've still got a brand new Muzzy Pro Pipe hanging in the garage and if I ever get around to freshening the engine up I'll probably install it then.
When I do I'll surely let you know about my old AK.

Thanks Dan. The bike looks good with those wheels, and I always liked that silver. Which year is the 12...........2000 or 2001? And have you done anything to the 14?

It's an '00 and it was a red one but when the silver came out in '01 a friend bought one but liked the red I had so we swapped, I like silver & black.
These are my latest silver & black stablemates.......

Charles,
The 14 I have is silver too. Only mods are a Brocks system with Ti can, Power Commander & BMC race filters.
I've flirted with selling the 14 because of an old broken wrist that never healed properly. Even with Gen-Mar risers it's still hard on me after an hour or so........I think there may be a new Connie in my future!

After all these years, the 12 is still a beautiful bike. Mine's red, but I really like the silver too.

hey I am getting old, I am liking the bling more.......cant believe the wife dropped my bike in the garage the other day, broke the dam rearset, so i think its time to put a set of Vortex rearsets on it......or maybe some Woodcrafts.....something.....dont think I am going to find a stock one, then have it drilled to match, and then chrome it again......just to have the same thing happen next time....so I think aftermarket is the way to go.

You will have to PM Crashtech about the tank covers, he built the bike, I just bought it and ride it.....
And Vortex doesnt make rearset for the ZX12 the bastards.....Looking at Gilles or LSL, or maybe Sato. Anyone have any expierence with any of these makes?

The Gilles are easy to get replacement parts for them just incase you wreck.

Got the Gilles in the other day, they are a nice bit......were simple to put on and seemed to be very well built.
