I don't understand running wheelie bars and running 11's..... But its better than I personally could do at this point.... Congrats...... Seen alot of mid 9 bikes no bars..... Is it for personal security reasons to make you feel safer???? A buddy ran mine 9.79 on the first outing no bars.....

One of the other bikes a Honda 954RR was running the class up from me
is also ordering a set of bars after he stood it on its tail not only once but
three times. A CROWD PLEASER BUT NOT A RACE WINNER!!

with the bars on you stab the gas, drop the clutch
AND HOLD ON !!!!!!

5,500 feet... Are you running in the Rocky mountains?? Bandimere?? That's pretty good time for 5500. Generally you loose a full second compared to a sea level run. Altitude will kill your time quick. I ran 11:00 at 131mph in Saint Louis and I weight 290. Now I put some gearing, pipe and PCIIIR. Should be able to launch my big ass into the 10's....

Kind of refreshing to see guys willing to post some real times! We get to hear about 8's and 9's. I havea ran a 9, and lots of 10's. Have not ran in the 11's on my 12. I am at or damn close to sea level too.

Keep practicing and you will find yourself in the low 10's easy.

The main thing is have some fun while you do it!!

Yea,

Well stock gearing makes for a pretty tough launch. It seamed like half track before I shifted into second gear. The MPH was ok but I was expecting around 135 or so. I have better 60ft's in my car?? Where is Douglas? Up near Ft Collins?
ZHooligan, How do you have your bike set-up to run low 10's??
