Hurt Feelings !!!!
Yesterday, I finally raced 3 guys who have been talking mad crap. All 3 were on Busa's with the basic mods, and me on my 05 ZX12R with filters, full Akro exhaust, 17 tooth front, Kleen system removed, lowered alittle, but all in all everyone had about the same mods. This being my first Kawi ( I've owned 3 busa's and 5 1000's ) and still getting used to the stock clutch decided to do the deed. We did roll-ons at first, which I easily won everytime. When we raced it suprised even me how easily I won everytime because I've owned Busa's and know how fast they are. I'm a rather big guy to be drag racing motorcycle's anyway at 6'3" and 220 lbs. I'm not fat, just tall and in shape.lol But the guys I'm constantly racing are 5'8" and 160 lbs, that's one reason why I got rid of my Gixxer 1000 and went back to a bigger bike, when racing these little guys on my 1000, I would have them everytime to 1000 foot mark and they would get me at the line. I was running 1.55 to 1.60 60 ft times and that was with stock wheel base, just geared and lowered, just didn't have enough top end power to hold them off once there little fly ass's started moving. Looks like the tables have turned now that I've got some HP to carry my big ass all the way to the stripe. lol
P.S. When I had my Busa's they never won either.
I love my Kawi, wish I would have bought one sooner.

Busa guys always talk crap, especially when you mention *gasp* the ZX-12R.
Glad to hear you made believers out of them on the 12!

drop a 1287 kit into it. if the busa guys complain that you have a big bore engine, remind them its still smaller than theirs and that you are just evening the playing field a little.

that would be the big slap. run a high 8 with less cc than a busa and still say they have the bigger engine. i will be doing that in a couple of years.

i didnt get the high 8 this yr but i beat all the busas motor to motor (no nitrous)
high 8s might be possible with the suspension changes im making, but it would take a lot of tuning. I would be happy with a 9.15 on motor next yr. not saying its not possible. I know Nox could run 8s easy with a 1287
