My bike is now back firing. Does anyone know what causes your bike to back fire? and also, will a powercommander help?

Retarded will cause a Back Fire, Lean will also! I have no "Block Off Plates" and no back firing off of the gas! Only at the rev limiter! Advance 2.5 degrees (1/2 mark) on an advancer! If no advancer, No Techlusion, no Power Commander, the only thing left is to turn your TPS to about 1.150 DC Volts! It should stop the back fire, but will lose a few HP!
If you want the bike to run perfectly, It cost some money or have friends that will give you these things! With nothing to adjust, you have no way to adjust!

Do not be in the biggest hurry to get a "Custom map"!! First install the PC3R and then load a map close to what you need! Then take it to a Dynojet and had a print out made with the hp, Torque and A/F Ratio printed out in 1000 rpm intervals! Take the time to look at the map and make a few adjustments with the buttons and have the bike spun again and get a second print out! This is all you need to see! The buttons are 2% per bar adjustments, Go haome and make map adjustments then look at a cliff randall map to get great on off on response! Understand your system and learn! That is what I did and could not have a better running bike! I did not know all of this stuff to begin with I learned at the age of 58 by trial and error and a little time! So can you! Then you can map any bike you get and save a fortune over your life time! (Me, just a few dollars )

I guess you plugged up the small hose that used to go to the Kleen air valve?? What about the larger rubber hose that used to feed into the Kleen air?
