Triple tree replacement
There are some scratches on my triple tree, they have been there since I purchased my 02 12 at the end of May. It came that way from the dealer. I know I should have complained at the time, maybe even sooner then now, but either way....
I know the scratches have nothing to do with performance, but I figured it should be covered under the full one year warranty on the bike, so I went down to the dealer and at least asked.
But they said Kawasaki would replace it, but only during the first 60 days of the bike purchase. That first 60 days is for any flaws asthetically, like paint runs, scratches, etc. Is this true? I thought that one-year warranty covered everything no matter what.
Just curious if anyone can shed any light on the situation. Thanks.

I am surprized they even considered 60 days! Stone chips in the belly pan Keys scratching the top clamp, belt buckle marks on the tank! Once you leave the dealership, how is anyone to know who did what?? Come on, you know better!!

Hate to say it, but I agree with Vincent. If you didn't bring it to the dealer's attention before you roll outta there... your on your own.
