codes
i was wondering if anybody can tell me how to check codes i would greatly appreciate it, my battery died ,so i got a new on ,charged it like they said and installed ,now the bike wont start , it cranks but wont start ,i even tried to push start it ,so any help you can give would be great thanks.

is the fi light on?(only reason to check codes) if not, its probly just flooded. once they flood, its a real pain to get them started. probly have to pull at least 2 plugs and dry it out. if you have a fault code: the yellow wire to nowhere by your ecu. ground it out for more than 2 seconds and keep it grounded. look at the fi light and read the long and short bursts. the message just keeps repeating as long as you ground it. a long flash and a short flash is fault code 11. 1 long and 5 short = 15, 3 long, 6 short, 36 ect ect

the fi light isnt on till the second time of cranking then it flashes

thanks shiggsy , i took off the inspection covers and poured gas in each throttle body and it started then died so for some reason im not getting fuel . is there a hidden fuse or something that im missing i checked the ones under the gas tank cover . is there one for the injectors somewhere, thanks for all the help

No fuses for the injectors, just a connection block between them and the ECU. When you switch on can you hear the fuel pump priming ?

i found my problem the i unhooked the power commander and it fired right and ran , now i have get the usb cord to see if the power commander lost everything when it lost power or if its fried i found the wire that goes to the batery had a bare spot and must have shorted out hopefully its still good,thanks again for the help
