False neutrals, is it me?
Hey all!
I continue to get many false neutrals everytime I ride mostly between 5th and 6th. I can actually concentrate on the shift for positive engagment and it will still do it, not every time but a lot! I have tried oil from Klotz to Motul all in 10w40 and it still does it. I can feel a little click or notch when shifting into 6th. Anyone else? I have also adjusted the shift lever, no help though.

Sorry I never had any problems not on either one the 2000 or 2002. I think Otis had said something about it.

It is you, you need to adjust the shifter down alot and the problem will go away. Even though you adjusted it you still need to go more. Believe me, dozens here have taken my advice with this and it works.

I have been pretty lucky I guess. No false neutral issues on my 00. My complaint is finding neutral! Easy to do at a stop, but not while rolling up to a stop!

ZZZZ, the neutral issue is dependant on oil pressure. The "positive neutral finder" works with some little steel balls that are pushed into place by the oil pressure. This system creates a situation that you cannot go into second gear while the engine is not running and you cannot go into neutral while moving too fast. It works well.
