muzzy's 40hp nitrous kit

Just got it installed. Tried it last night at the track. Only gained 5 mph and only dropped .06 on my e.t. I feel a slight power boost but no where near 30 to 40hp. It does have the 32 jet installed. CLOGGED LINES ???

Bottle pressure? A leak in the line? Try going to the small jet, just for the heck of it . You might not have enough fuel for the 32.

Sounds like a leak if it's installed correctly. We've not had any problems with heaps of them we've fitted.

More info???

If you're not adding enough fuel in the map you won't get the full benefit of the nitrous.
I've often been disappointed with dry kits if you can't get the fuel in somehow.

60 shot gaied about 12 mph
and an 80 shot gained18 mph e/t didnt change much becuase I was fighting wheelies, 5- 6 tenths gain .

also when are you spraying it? too close to the end and mph boost with not much et. even 30 hp when the button is pushed should open your eyes. something must be wrong.

cant be adding enough fuel. remember its not the nitrous that makes the power, its works by allowing you to burn more fuel. burning more fuel makes the extra hp

Yes.
I tell you what , I went just as quick with a 40 shot as I did with an 80.
Why ? well I sprayed the 40 out the hole, when I sprayed the 80 I fought wheelies.
Then I went to a progressive, but it has the worng tune as you progress, to much fuel, so I still didnt go faster. But when the tune came in as the nos matched the fuel it was on like donkey kong.
Still didnt go faster though MPH was out the roof though.
Going to have to rethink this one.
You know the real fast guys dont post on these boards and dont give out the tricks.
I have to figure it out on my own. and I am.
Big shots I would have to say wet because of the progression, dry I havent figured out how to progress the fuel as well.

zrexpilot,

yes correct. But we have fitted plenty of dry systems. Anything over 50 shot we fit the a 50lb fuel pump. If you want anymore than around 80, go wet or remote tank with extra fuel pump. Remember, more spray needs more fuel.

Progressive is the way to go from our experiences. The more shot you put in, the later you can bring it on unless you are a Top Fuel clutch tuner!!!

How is the bottle mounted ? Valve up you need a siphon....valve down no siphon.

We always a use a siphon bottle up or down. We use mostly bottles up. Down is fitting to standard type bikes in the boot. More a 45 deg angle. Still use a siphon.

Didn't like the bottle angle in the trunk. This is what i meant by valve up.
